Open Question: How do I convince my parents that I am ready to play M rated video games?
My name is Zach and I am 13. I know most of you will say that I am too young, but I am very mature and responsible for my age, and I think I can handle having M rated games. Almost all of my friends have them and they laugh at me when they find out that I'm pretty much the only one in class that isn't allowed to play them. I do not have any criminal record or any violent past. I swear once in a while like when I burn myself on a pot or something, but I rarely swear at all. I listen to music by Eminem, Lil Wayne, Fort Minor, and other Rap and Hip Hop artists that have swear words and other inappropriate things in the lyrics, and my parents have no problems with it. I've never been suspended from school before. I get A's and B's on my report card. I try real hard to show my parents that I'm ready, but they say that I shouldn't be enjoying watching knives go through people's bodies and then hearing the "disgusting" sounds, but I've already seen it all on TV and movies, and my parents know that. I am not a loser who sits in front of the PlayStation, computer or TV all day, I have friends and I play outside a lot. I made a slideshow to show my parents that I am ready for that type of game, but it didn't affect them much. I've done everything I can, and all I can do is wait till I'm 16 and 17 now... Any suggestions?
Open Question: Do you ever feel like visiting Yahoo! Answers town? on the internet?
Sometimes I imagine that Yahoo! answers is a special kind of place like a city on The Sims 3 and I feel like every category is a small town in a huge city! is this true? are we all really in a cyber world of Yahoo country? I would LOVE to watch a tv show like that with all the maniacs asking freaky questions about how to cheat on the latest online games and mad scientists having freakshows, while on the other side of town you have a Garden Show with tiny little flowers breathing yahoo! artificial air. and in the other side of the city theres a big kentucky derby and talking horses getting high on drugs asking how to keep in the game and quit, and in the food section you can have people cooking food disasters with pizza's exploding out of ovens and a carnival with people asking which rides are the most fun. I would really like it if the future internet would have all this capacity. Is it possible to store all this physical data on the internet?
Open Question: If you liked playing with race cars and lego as a kid, does that mean you're a boy?
when i was little i thought dolls and tea parties were so boring.... most of my toys were "boys toys" like cars and lego and video games.. i also loved to play pranks on my friends. e.g. i would put spiders in their hair and make them cry lol.. i was bratty, spoiled and naughty (thats probably coz i was an only child). as i grew up i became shy and less mean but im still not feminine. i dont like fashion or makeup or high heels... but im bisexual. i dont want to be a man or a boy.. i love being a girl but im not the typical girl..... i love having boobs and hips and i definitely dont want a boys' part. i watched a tv show about this boy trapped in a girl's body and she was a tomboy just like me..... im worried now. ?
